• On 1 July 1976, General Singlaub was assigned as Chief of Staff, United Nations Command, United States Forces Korea, and Eighth United States Army in Seoul, Korea.He served concomitantly as the United Nations Command Senior Military Member of the Military Armstice Commission at Panmunjom.

• In June 1977, General Singlaub was reassigned from Korea to the US Army Forces Command Headquarters at Fort McPherson, Georgia. On 5 July 1977, he assumed his present duties as the Chief of Staff, US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM).
